For deaf and hard-of-hearing students, involvement of their parents in the learning process is essential because of their unique learning needs and styles. Parent involvement refers to active, continuous involvement of a primary caregiver or parent in the education of their children. Parent involvement contributes to improved learning and growth of students through positive impacts on student’s attendance, behavior and achievement.
